question用法归纳

常用单词question可以用作名词和动词。现就该词用法、常见短语及它同problem的差别进行梳理。

1.question作为名词，意思为“问题；疑问；难题”。比如：I was startled by her question.她的问题让我大吃一惊。I hope the police don't ask any awkward questions.我希望警方不要问难应付的问题。There's no question about his honesty.毫无疑向他是诚实的。

question可与动词ask和answer连用。比如：They asked a lot of questions about China.他们问了许多有关中国的问题。He couldn't answer the question.他没有能回答那个问题。

2.question用作动词，表示“询问，审向；怀疑，对……表示疑问”。比如：Over half of those questioned sAId they rarely took any exercise.被问到的人有一半以上说他们很少锻炼身体。The police questioned him about his son's whereabouts.警察向他询问儿子的行踪。

I would never question the truth of his statement.我对他的陈述坚信不疑。I just accepted what he told me. I never thought to question it.他说什么我就接受什么。我从未想过要去怀疑。

3.常见短语

1）beyond question表示“毫无疑问，确定无疑”。比如：Her honesty is beyond question.她的诚实毋庸置疑。You're right beyond question.无可争辩，你是对的。

2）in question表示“讨论中的，正在考虑”。比如：This is the server in question.这就是我们讨论的服务器。That is not the point in question.那不是要考虑的要点。The lady in question is not in office now.所谈的那位女士现在没在办公室。

3）out of question 指“没问题，无疑的，不成问题”。比如：He did it alone out of question.他毫无疑问是独自做这件事的。

Getting some help from her is out of question.得到她的帮助不成问题。The victory is out of question.胜利是毫无疑问的。

4）out of the question指“毫无可能的，不可能的，绝不可能”。比如：It is totally out of the question to postpone the midnight deadline.延迟午夜的最后期限是根本不可能的。

A good job is out of the question.一份好工作是不可能的。I think that is out of the question.我认为那是不可能的。

4.question 与problem的区别

question和problem 都可以指“问题”，但question指像了解某物，对某件事怀疑而提出且等待答复的问题，对应词是answer，比如：answer the question回答问题。

problem指急待解决或令人担忧的问题或困难。problem的对应词为solution，比如：solution to the problem解决问题的办法。
